ucsi prom nite [a-level only] ~one word...SuCkS!

january '08 intake + ms chua & son

yesterday was a sucker i tell ya! i attended a prom at my college. and all i can think about and say is...it was a great let down. well, it was supposed to begin at 7pm but u know...we malaysians tend to follow the 'malaysian time'. we only started at 8pm. okay. that's a norm here so it's still acceptable. what made me regret spending my 35 bucks was the food! and the performances lined up that night! we had indian cuisine. the food seriously sucks k! it was served buffet style but there were limited choices. yesterday was the first time i didn't down loads of food into my stomach,which i always do everytime i had a buffet meal. i lost my appetite after a few bites and just stopped eating altogether. yea it was THAT bad. why indian food? i mean, we should have more neutral choices as the were many chinese and malays too. in fact, the chinese make up for more than half the students in the a-level programme.

the next agenda was a dance performance and it was fine. after that was the musical instrument performance, some accompanied by singing. the majority of the songs played was classical, which i think was very unsuitable in a prom. the mood became dull almost immediately and everyone got restless. not many people paid attention to the performances. the only fun part was the lucky draw which got everybody excited. it was full of anticipation as we were all hoping to land a prize. but in the end only 1 person from my class got it. sadly nope, it wasn't me.
