People say...

exams
exams
exams
exams
exams

some people say things just to make you feel better

people say...
exams are not a test of memory skills
but i beg to differ
you are bound to flunk in biology and chemistry if you have brains as tiny as an ostrich's
seriously
like talking about metabolic processes to produce energy in the body
you have to go through glycolysis, link reaction, kreb's cycle and oxidative phosphorylation
and in every step there are many many sub-steps
and this is only for aerobic respiration
which means, when there is oxygen
if no oxygen, after glycolysis you have another set of things to remember
for example anaerobic respiration in yeast and muscle tissue including every step involved
gosh!
all these are only to produce ATP (read energy)
and it's only one chapter of biology unit 4

chemistry is not too bad actually
unless you are talking about organic chemistry
where you are expected to learn up the reactions plus the different reaction conditions
like whether it is room temperature or heated under reflux
and for some of them you have to remember the exact temperature because other temperatures would give you a different product AND you HAVE to know what it is

people say...
exams are not a test of your writing speed
this is not true when you only have 1 or 1 1/2 hours to finish a whole lot of subjective questions
time really flies then

*sighz*
this week is gonna be my worst week of exams
i'll be sitting for 4 papers altogether this thursday and friday
chemistry 4 and chemistry 5 on thursday
biology a and biology 5 on friday
all A2 level papers

they should give us at least a day of break for us to rest and study here
instead we had like 8 or 10 days between easier papers earlier this exam
what on earth are they thinking?

oh i feel so much better now
